Job Description:
Hire Desk Controller
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hire desk controller to join our Powered Access Hire and Training Company based in Leigh, Lancashire.
The successful candidate will need to be passionate, have excellent customer service skills and be able to work well within a team. Experience within the Access Platforms industry would be an advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling customer enquiries / queries over the phone
- Recommending suitable products based upon the customers requirements
- Negotiating hire prices with customers
- Processing all hire paperwork relating to customer orders
- Arranging delivery / collection of equipment
- Maintaining accurate stock records through IT systems
- Liaising with our national suppliers / build strong relationship
- Communicating with drivers, engineers and the sales team to ensure a smooth operation
- Following up quotations
- Supporting telesales when required
- General filing and administrative duties
Knowledge of InspHire administration system would be an advantage
Essential qualities to include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail / accuracy essential
- A good level of IT and keyboard skills
- Be self motivated
- Highly effective negotiation skills
- To be able to work as part of a team
Hours of work 8am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Salary negotiable depending upon experience – 18k+
