In order to develop and manage profitable sales growth across the Northern England Region we require a Regional Sales Manager to manage and monitor the performance of the Region's Sales Representatives and to maximise Major Account revenue streams in the Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the region achieves profitable sales growth.
- Manage, motivate and measure the performance of a team of Sales Representatives to ensure revenue targets are met.
- Manage and develop business from a small number of Major Account customers.
- Work closely with major accounts team to grow revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with key personnel in top major accounts to ensure account growth is strategically planned.
- Preparation and delivery of presentations to large Major Account Customers when required.
- Communicate by phone on a daily basis with all Sales Representatives.
- Spend an average of 1.5 days each week with the Sales Representatives in the Region on a one-to-one basis. (each sales rep to be accompanied for at least 1 day over any 8 week cycle) to include joint customer visits and to discuss successes, failures and agree future objectives and strategies.
- Regular KPI meetings (bi-monthly ) with GM’s to discuss performance of Sales Representative, monthly where deemed necessary as agreed with Regional Director.
- Review service levels to customers and recommend areas for improvement where necessary.
- Conduct bi-monthly sales meetings with Sales Representatives.
- Collate and analyse Weekly Planners and Weekly Sales Return Sheets and address any issues promptly with Sales Representatives.
- Monitor and review new depot account revenue and conversion rates.
- Ensure that customers (whether prospective or existing) credit ratings and limits are at the agreed levels before proceeding with new or renewal quotations and that the customers ability to pay is considered when pricing.
- Review and pre-authorise Sales Representatives quotations prior to delivery to customer.
- Utilise pro-active sales management techniques, incentives and other motivational initiatives in conjunction with Group objectives.
- Develop and monitor sales systems and procedures and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
Successful applicants should have a proven track record in sales within the plant hire industry and should have managed a successful sales team
