Job Title:                              Driver/ Service Engineer

The Role: -

 

Carry out service, repair and maintain Hire & Sale equipment of the Company and that of our customers and suppliers, either at the Company’s premises or at an outside location. 

 

Delivery / Collection and where appropriate the Installation of portable air conditioning units, heaters and other associated products.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: -

 

       It will be the driver / service engineer’s role to receive all off hire equipment and to check for safety as required by current regulations.  Servicing and repairs for both hire equipment and customers own property should be carried out promptly and returned to the hire fleet, or customer, in a clean and serviceable condition.

 

       Stock control; replenishing hire and sale stock onto shelves by means of fork lift truck and/or manual handling.

 

       Regular stock check of units and accessories as and when required.

 

       Loading/unloading buffer stock from other branches and suppliers via Company’s own transport including external couriers.

 

       Preparation of equipment in relation to inter depot stock transfer requests.

 

       Maintenance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

 

       Vehicle cleaning and maintenance.

 

       Workshop and warehouse cleanliness including good health and safety in the workplace at all times.

 

       It will be your responsibility to maintain and keep records of all work carried out in connection with the above as required by the Company.

 

       We expect our Driver / Service Engineers to participate in all relevant training programmes as requested by the Company that would be of benefit to both our Industry and the engineers themselves.

 

You will ideally reside within an easy commuting distance from the Chessington depot.

 

Fork Lift Licence would be an advantage but not essential.
