Smiths Equipment Hire is a leading independent hirer of a wide range of tool, plant and access equipment supplied through 10 depots covering the North West.


A family owned and run business we have been established since 1970 and currently employ 80 staff with a turnover this year expected to exceed 6 million supplying a large customer base covering most construction, industrial and DIY sectors.

The role of a Tool Hire Service Engineer essentially entails the servicing, maintenance and cleaning of the smaller section of our hire fleet including petrol and electrical equipment etc.

You should be competent and able to carry out your duties to a high standard.

You will be responsible for maintaining records, ordering spares and be able to work in a tidy and organised way. Some associated experience required and current driving licence.

You should be competent and already have experience associated with our industry to enable you to carry out your duties to a high standard.

Applicants should have confidence in their skills to carry out the role competently and hold a current driving licence.
