Job Description: 

Depot Manager - Plant Hire

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and day to day running of the company’s operated plant business and for overseeing the running of a large plant maintenance facility and maintenance department.

Main product streams include generators, tool hire, general plant etc

Based at the company’s depot in Ealing, West London the Manager will manage both the sales and operations function of the depot.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and setting maintenance budgets.
• Finance forecasting.
• Monitoring Aged Debt and chasing payment.
• Monthly reporting.
• Identifying areas for business development.
• Implementing the company’s health and safety policy.
• Responding to changes in legislation.
• Managing personnel issues including performance monitoring and assessment.
• Achieving best value from suppliers and maintaining key supplier relationships.
• Monitoring KPI’s and customer satisfaction.

The Individual/Requirements:

The applicant must have experience of working in a managerial position within the plant hire or closely related industry sector and have the ability to focus on both business growth and cost control in equal measure.

The ability to communicate effectively with both customers and employees is essential

The successful candidate will be able to inspire colleagues and be able to use a variety of management methods to achieve maximum performance from all employees. They will also be able to develop new and enhance existing customer relationships, expanding on the current customer base.

Used to using and establishing KPI’s for monitoring performance and customer satisfaction.
