SENIOR SERVICE ENGINEER - BIRMINGHAM
Roles & Responsibilities
- Working alongside engineers to ensure that all our hire equipment is serviced to the same high standards across all of our depots. Implementing a Service Plan /Booklet on all Equipment
- Organising a plan to bring all our hire fleet with R22 gas up to date, to ensure it meets with regulations.
- Working with other engineers to ensure that all broken equipment that is lying around each depot is repaired and ready to be serviced.
- Working with branch managers to implement a monthly report on hire equipment service targets.
- Organising In-house training with engineers regarding servicing, fault finding and repairing equipment.
- Checking that all PAT tested data has been downloaded monthly across the depots.
- Purchasing and sourcing spares
- The Purchasing of Tools and safety Equipment
- Having an input on the purchase of new Hire Fleet Equipment. That meets the company standards.
- Visiting Depots to ensure that servicing and repair of all equipment is being achieved, and assisting with the repair of any equipment that they may not be able to fix themselves.
- Servicing and repairing Easi-fit systems
- Provide Easi-fit training to other engineers.
- Liaising with customers to sort out technical issues.
- Organizing any training courses for our engineers.

Staff Direction:
- Delegate and monitor service activity of internal depot staff through managers and supervisors.
- Assessments of all hire fleet equipment with depot engineers
- Incorporate and monitor training of staff
Computer skills:
- Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word and databases to basic level,
- Internet and email.
Reporting:
- Monthly progress reports on the rental fleet to incorporate depot fleet status to the MD
- Highlight any issues that affect the region or company at the first instance to either HR or MD
- Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to senior management relating to company hire fleet
Health & Safety & ISO
- Monitor and implement health and safety within the depot network
- Monitor and work with ISO according to company policy
- Ensure depots and staff work within the health & safety and ISO guidelines
- Monitor all CIR and act accordingly to ensure continuity
