Our Thurrock depot currently has a vacancy for a Small Tools Fitter to service and electrical and  petrol tools to a high standard both on and off site.

  RESPONSIBILITIES

• To diagnose faults and repair/ maintain a variety of small  tools in the GAP fleet including floor saws, generators and 2 stroke petrol engines both on and off site
• Update service records for GAP equipment
• Check and tag all equipment
• PAT Testing
• Ensure workshop is clean, tidy and well organised

KEY SKILLS

• Experience in contractor's tools is essential

• CITB/NVQ qualification is preferable

• Driving licence advantageous

The successful applicant must be an experienced electrical &petrol fitter and familiar with repairing and maintaining a variety of small tools including floor saws, generators and 2 stroke petrol tools e.g disc cutters and rammers. In addition the Tool Fitter should be able to carry out routine maintenance of GAP Plant
