Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an experienced maintenance technician with experience in HGV Class 2 driving. You will have experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment. You will also from time to time provide a delivery and collection service to other stores. You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of equipment for hire to customer sites, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met at all times.

 

Hours for this job will be 7.30pm - 4.30am Monday - Friday

 

Job Description

• Carrying out safety checks on all equipment returned from hire, including electrical safety checks where required.

• Carrying out routine service and maintenance of all items of hire stock including seasonal preventative maintenance

• Carry out deliveries and collections to our internal and external customers in a professional manner

• Accurate recording of information regarding stock movements, deliveries and collections.

• Drive the company vehicle responsibly and safely; obeying at all times the traffic laws and the Highway Code.

• Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring that any defects found are reported to your line manager so that the appropriate action can be taken.
• Ensure that any equipment on the vehicle is securely and safely tied down and protected, where necessary, from the weather, potential damage or theft.
• Ensure your personal appearance is smart and presentable and presents a professional image to our to our customers.
• Ensure theinside andoutside of company vehicles are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, remembering always that you and your vehicle are a mobile advertisement of the standard of service available from the company.
• Collect any money due on the delivery or collection as instructed. All money collected from customers remains the responsibility of the driver until it is signed for as received by the line manager.
• Carry out other duties and tasks as and when required.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations to safeguard the interests of the business, our people and customers.
