New opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer Gloucester - Oxfordshire - Hampshire.

My client is a reknowned supplier of specialist plant hire equipment. The position would ideally suit a sales engineer who has sold rental equipment to at least one of the following sectors: construction, civil engineering, utilities, heavy industry, petrochemical, quarrying or similar.  They now have a new fantastic opportunity for a tenacious self starter to join them in the role of Technical Sales Representative

Technical Sales Representative - Hire Industry

Reporting to & working closely with the Sales and Managemnt team, the key task will be to contact existing and prospective customers, to discuss their current projects and offer bespoke and off the shelf  solutions to their problems by suggesting the correct  product selection. You will liaise with the company and customer design and technical team members & stay involved throughout the project to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have to work on their own initiative, planning their own work schedule, which will include visiting customers to discuss their requirements therefore a mechanical engineering background would be advantageous. The ability to read drawings iwould also be benficial however is not a prerequisite. Excellent communication skills will be required along with the ability to solve problems quickly & efficiently.

You will need to reside within a reasonable commutable destination to the Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire Counties and possess a full UK driving licence.

The truly exceptional candidate will possess drive and self-motivation and sound business acumen. A proven track record of solution sales in an engineering environment and a high work rate are paramount in this position and full product training will be given.
