This established and reknowned equipment manufacturer require an Area Sales Manager to look after their interests in and around the Northern UK sales territory.
Candidates should have solid experience of selling capital equipment into the market places of Civil Engineering, Construction, Heavy Industry, Petrochem and Utilities preferably with a strong understanding of purchasing and sales protocol in these sectors
The Role
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for enhancing the existing business levels by targeting current account customers as well as bringing on and developing new business using their strong understanding of the method of sale of capital products. Knowledge of the the client base mentioned in the North and South Midlands area is a prerequisite for this exciting position . A technical or engineering based sales background is a prerequisite for this however product is not necessary as training can be given.
As a Field Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing sales of the company\\'s products, covering the Scotland area and parts of Northern England. Candidates can be based anywhere within this area, however occasional travel to other sites within the business will be required. Focusing on developing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities, you will be required to target a diverse range of organisations, often with high profile buying managers, main contractors, sub-contractors and architects.
This position requires an exceptional communicator with the tenacity, enthusiasm and determination to succeed in a competitive market. Equally as important is the ability to manage your own workload and a driven approach.
To be considered for this position, you must have proven business to business (B2B) sales experience and a background within the construction industry. As a pro-active sales professional, you will also need to be customer focused with a disciplined work ethic and the ability to communicate at all levels.
The client offers an excellent negotiable basic salary of circa £32,000, a highly rewarding uncapped bonus incentive company car and other benefits.
