Job Description:
GAP Group Ltd is the UK’s largest independent Plant and Tool Hirer, hiring out a range of products across a number of sectors including construction and utilities. Currently with c.800 employees and 58 depots across the UK we are currently recruiting a GAP One Customer Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our GAP one team.
GAP one is a unique “best in industry” service which provides one method of contact for our larger account customers ensuring all their plant and tool hire requirements are delivered on schedule and the associated administration is accurate.
Based within our Head Office in Glasgow, key responsibilities include:
- Dealing with all hire orders from Major Account customers and liaising with GAP personnel/rehire companies to ensure plant is delivered on schedule.
- Ensuring detailed and accurate information is obtained from customers requesting plant, off-hiring plant or reporting breakdowns.
- Using IT system (Movex) to locate plant and check correct rates are being used.
- Liaising with GAP depots to ensure that plant is available.
- Sourcing and re-hiring non-GAP equipment ensuring both best price and quality.
- Preventing invoice queries arising by ensuring contracts are raised accurately.
- Reporting administrative errors on system to relevant personnel.
- Producing weekly reports for customers showing all plant movements.
- Attending occasional meetings with Major Account Managers.
- Liaising with Major Account customers’ plant departments.
- Liaising with GAP Major Account Managers and providing updates and performance reports as required

A working knowledge of the Plant & Tool Hire/ Construction industry is also essential.
