Our Bradford depot currently has a vacancy for a Driver to ensure timeous professional delivery/collection of plant to/from GAP Group customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivery/collection of plant to/from customers ensuring accurate completion of paperwork (obtaining authorised signatures/noting damages/fuel levels/correct plant numbers)
  
• Starting machines on site when requested
  
• Basic vehicle maintenance/ensuring roadworthiness and safety of vehicle (carry out daily vehicle checks in accordance with Group procedures)
  
• Checking plant against paperwork received from hire desk prior to delivery
  
• Safe loading of all plant and equipment onto GAP vehicles (strapping/chaining/roping)
  
• Tagging up damaged machines on return to depot and locate in correct area within depot yard/workshop.
  
• Ensuring Tachographs are kept up to date (where applicable)
  
• Keeping vehicle clean and tidy
  
• Assisting with general workshop duties as and when required
  
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Foreman or Depot Manager

Applicants should have a current, valid driving licence with good local knowledge in and around Bradford.  Applicants should also have worked in the Plant & Tool Hire industry or similar and have the ability to tow.
