MOBILE Plant Fitter/Service Engineer - West Midlands based
Heavy Construction Plant and Machinery
We are currently recruiting an experienced Plant and Machinery Engineer to cover the West Midlands region for a well respected Heavy Plant provider
Reporting to the field service supervisor the aim of the Mobile Service Engineer is to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through the efficient delivery of on-site repairs, maintenance and fault diagnosis on customer and company equipment.
* To competently carry out onsite maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of equipment in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
* To ensure that the customer is informed of the machine/repair status for all jobs.
* To complete and submit, via PDA, all labour, travel, mileage, job and machine details in a timely and accurate manner, complemented by a customer signature and order number where possible.
* To keep your service vehicle in a clean and professional condition.
* To order spare parts for your work as necessary.
Requirements for the role:
Must hold a full driving licence and a good driving record.
Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant, including proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics and electronics.
Mechanical Engineering qualification i.e. City & Guilds, BTECH, NVQ or recognized apprenticeship Mechanical Engineering or Plant Maintenance.
Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
Experience of maintaining Ground Support Equipment.
Experience of manual handling and lifting tackle.
Good communication skills
