Describe Wolseley? They're a company that's definitely going places... they are the biggest.. and they want to be the best.

Meet Vinny Ogg, Branch Manager of Build Center, Rugby. "As Branch Manager I'm responsible for sales, costs and budgets, as well as making sure that everyone knows exactly what's expected of them. We work as a team, but I set individual performance targets and suggest ways that my team can achieve them – including any training that they might need. My other key priorities include making sure that stock is always available so that we retain our customers. I'm also responsible for maintaining a healthy and safe environment for everyone to work in. "

"I hadn't heard of the company before, and it was the attitude of Wolseley people at a recruitment fair that made it sound like a great place to work. The recruitment process was smooth, and I found it very easy to apply online.

The programme itself is very flexible, and I was able to stay in my home area until I was ready to broaden my horizons. Most importantly, I was looking for a graduate programme that I could tailor to my interests – and Wolseley was able to offer that."

"When I was comparing different graduate programmes, Wolseley seemed to be somewhere where there are lots of things for you to do – you don't go into one role and just stay there. To date, I've had a placement in branch, in internal communications, and now I am in brand marketing for Build Center and Drain Center, where I am in charge of running our branch toolbox, and I am really enjoying the responsibility. "The Wolseley UK Graduate scheme offered me the opportunity to enter into a large multinational, a major PLC, and allow me to experience the different areas of the business before finding a ‘home' – where I best fit in. I found the recruitment process was quite relaxed and, compared to others I experienced, it actually allowed me to express who I was.  Through your mentors, you're able to direct your experience in the company which has been really great.
