Our client are a specialist supplier within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure and associated industries. They are looking to recruiting a National Hire Manager who can develop their existing hire business across the UK. As a key part of the senior management team, you will be reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Operations Director and Sales Director to maximise business opportunities within the business.

Key elements of the role are:

* Developing strategies to develop hire business within UK market.
* Management of UK hire operations and procedures
* Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
* Devising sales plans and developing relationships with prospective clients
* Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
* Maximising new business development opportunities
* Overseeing and managing in a wide geographical area
* Identifying valuable emerging markets
* Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace
* Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions
* Maximising company profit
* Foreseeing and avoiding stagnation in the marketplace
* Forming sales strategies to keep your company competitive and innovative
* Assists upper management in setting goals that promote company growth
* Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
* Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
* Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
* Improves existing systems and policies
* Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner
* Works closely with other departments to promote efficient factory optimisation
* Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness
* Manages internal and external service suppliers
* Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in the UK hire industry and/or construction, civil engineering, utilities industries.
